Land Registry Offices in Greece closed – The Publication of land data for the Municipality of Athens has been postponed

Following the Joint Ministerial Decision with no. Δ1α/ΓΠ.οικ. 22124 (Government Gazette volume B' no. 1117/1.4.2020) all Land Registry Offices, as well as the Offices of the Old Land Registry Regime (Yποθηκοφυλακεία) remain closed for precautionary reasons of public health up to 27.4.2020. In view of the above-mentioned ban the following are suspended: (a) any kind of transactions, as well as the examination of the files of the above Offices; (b) any deadline relating to the transfer, registration and entry of applications and deeds or the receipt of certificates and certified copies, and (c) the statute-barring of any related claims. Furthermore, the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Land Registry decided to postpone the process of Publication of the land data for the Municipality of Athens to June 1 st , 2020. Until the above-mentioned date, the owners of real property within the Municipality of Athens will be informed by way of every possible means about the procedures, deadlines and digital facilities for the examination, confirmation or correction of the registration of their rights with the Land Registry.
